About
Nahal Zavitan flows through the Israel Nature and Parks Authority's Yehudiya reserve on the Golan Heights. Swimming and entering the water are allowed, and its middle section runs through the Black Canyon (HaNakik HaShahor), a wet basalt canyon listed in the catalog as a separate section.
The descent to the Zavitan falls on the blue trail is closed for safety, and some trails in the reserve were closed after rockfalls. Some routes require booking and registration in advance at the reserve office.
Getting there
7 ק"מ מזרחית לצומת יהודיה על כביש מספר 87 (יהודיה - חושניה) לכיוון קצרין. כ- 5.5 ק"מ מדרום לקצרין.
Access notes
The Yehudiya reserve is entered from Route 87, east of Yehudiya junction toward Katzrin. Entry is paid, and some routes require booking and registration in advance.

Safety
The descent to the Zavitan falls on the blue trail is closed for safety. Each route has its own last entry time, and entry to the reserve closes early. Wolves and wild boar live in the reserve, and vultures nest there.
