Safety

High flash flood risk: do not enter if rain is possible in the area or upstream. A night rappel needs a working headlamp and a backup for every participant, and a slower pace between rappels.

Recommendations

Suits teenagers and adults, including those with little experience, with a guide. It can be done all year, and in summer the night rappel avoids the heat.

Equipment

A harness, helmet and descender for each participant, ropes long enough for the long rappel, and a headlamp. On a guided trip the technical gear is supplied by the guide.
