About
The small cliff at Beit Aryeh is a low wall on the edge of the settlement with a handful of easy to moderate climbing routes. Its modest height makes it a good place for a first try at climbing or rappelling.
Park at the school in the settlement and walk along the perimeter road, through a red electric gate, then turn right uphill. The cliff is signposted and hard to miss. Just before it is a memorial lookout for residents killed at the Nova festival, and behind the memorial sign a path climbs to the top of the cliff.
The wall has mechanical bolts and plenty of natural anchors, and a top rope can be rigged from above. Its aspect keeps it shaded from midday.
Access notes
Navigate to Beit Aryeh and, inside it, to the Yehoshua Gan school parking. Walk to the perimeter road that starts by the sports field, pass a red electric gate, go down a little and take the first right uphill to the base of the cliff. The top is reached by the path behind the memorial sign.
Parking
Park at the Yehoshua Gan school inside the settlement and continue on foot.

Safety
After rain the rock is slippery, so better to postpone. When rigging a top rope from above, clip in to an anchor before approaching the edge. Fridays can be crowded.

Recommendations
A good place for first-timers and for intro workshops in climbing and rappelling. Afternoons are shaded. The same day can include the big Beit Aryeh cliff, the Peduel lookout and the Nahal Shilo horseshoe bend. In late autumn winter crocus blooms here.
Equipment
For climbing, a short rope and a few quickdraws are enough; for rappelling, a slightly longer rope. Rigging a top rope from above needs anchor material and a personal tether.
