About

Nahal Meshushim flows through the Yehudiya reserve on the Golan Heights, and at its heart is the Hexagon Pool, ringed by six-sided basalt columns. Swimming and entering the water are allowed in the reserve.

The long route crosses the Meshushim and Zavitan gorges, with steep descents and climbs, and ends at the Yehudiya parking. The data records no rappels in the stream, and a visit is mainly a wet stream hike.

Safety

The pool route has an early last entry time, and entry to the reserve closes before the listed closing time. The steep descents and climbs call for good shoes. Wild boar, jackals and foxes live in the reserve: do not leave food out.

Recommendations

Good for a wet hike with groups and families. Book ahead and arrive early so you can do the route before last entry.
